Tuck Pointing
Tuck
pointing removes cracked or otherwise deteriorated mortar from
joints by chiseling or grinding. New mortar is then carefully
applied and smoothed to fill in the joints.
Brick Repair & Replacement
Brick
replacement involves replacing deteriorated bricks with matching
or closely-matching bricks. Cracked or otherwise deteriorated
bricks are removed by chiseling or grinding and new bricks and
mortar are carefully installed.
Parging
Parging
is applying a strong form of cement to a wall and creating a
smooth, flat wall. Parging is usually applied along the bottom 1
to 4 feet of a wall.
In large
areas, sheets of galvanized mesh are nailed to the wall then a
"scratch coat" of strong cement is applied prior to the last coat,
which is smoothed with a sponge-like tool to make it flat and
even. Small areas of parging do not require mesh.
Chimney Rebuilds
Chimney
rebuilds involve either partial or complete tearing down a
deteriorated chimney and constructing a new one.
Brick Cleaning
Brick
cleaning involves the use of chemical cleaners and a high-power
pressure washer using 2,500 psi of pressure to clean carbon build
up, dirt, etc. off bricks, stones and blocks.
Brick Sealing
Brick
sealing involves applying a strong sealant to the exterior of an
entire house or office to protect the brick, block, stone, and
mortar against weathering.
